July 28, 2009 I was pretty happy sitting here reading Children of the Sea online the other day when I noticed that, as ryan of Same Hat said over at their blog, the floodgates are now officially open. As awesome as Sea is, readers that have been looking forward to IKKI’s potential can now see more of it unleashed at the homepage, currently loaded with four (count ’em) fresh introductory chapters.
The list includes Hisae Iwaoka’s Saturn Apartments, Q Hayashida’s Dorohedoro, Shunju Aono’s I’ll Give It My All… Tomorrow (which you can read about on this very site, courtesy of Ed Chavez), and Mohiro Kitoh’s Bokurano: Ours. While there are more titles on the site itself, you can start digging into these immediately.
This is certainly an exciting time to be a US manga fan, and I personally can’t wait to watch the Ikki brand expand. Read all of their current offerings with their free online viewer at the IKKI homepage.
