Viz Media to Release Berserk Anime Film Trilogy

Lots of announcements went down across the pair of cons going on this weekend, Anime Boston and Sakura-Con, one of which puts the ongoing trilogy of Berserk film adaptations in the hands of Viz Media.

Viz announced the acquisition at its Sakura-Con panel, with plans to release the films on home video. The first, Berserk Golden Age Arc I: Egg of the Supreme Ruler, will be released this fall. The second film comes out in Japanese theaters this June, so we’ll have to be patient for the rest, but it’s nice to know they have an impending home outside of Japan!
