As announced at Otakon in August, Viz Media is planning a major comeback for Rumiko Takahashi’s legendary manga and anime series Ranma ½. The manga will be available in deluxe 2-in-1 omnibus editions, displayed in the original right-to-left format for the first time ever in spring 2014, and the anime is now streaming with subtitles on VIZAnime.com and Hulu.
Beyond that, Ranma ½ will debut dubbed on Viz’s subscription anime channel Neon Alley this fall, with DVD and Blu-ray box sets to hit retailers next year.
Viz’s celebration of all things Ranma ½ will also leap to this year’s New York Comic-Con, which takes place October 10-13 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in Manhattan. More details will come soon, but look out for booth activities and special programming.
