Otakon 2023 announced a very special guest for this year’s event with the reveal of legendary director and designer Shoji Kawamori. In addition to being one of the key figures behind the Macross series, Kawamori handled mechanical designs and directed anime like Aquarion and is responsible for creating Arjuna, The Vision of Escaflowne and more.
As for what Kawamori will be doing as guest of honor, more details will be announced as we get closer to Otakon 2023, which will take place July 28-30 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC.
