One of the many treats the Chainsaw Man anime provides is a new ending theme song by a new artist each week. The series closed out its first episode on October 11 with the help of Japanese singer-songwriter Vaundy, who belted out “CHAINSAW BLOOD” over the credits. Now a music video is here with appropriately dark visuals.
Check out the results—which come from director Takashi Tsuchiya—below.
Here’s the ending video that was posted the day the episode launched:
The digital single launched in Japan on October 12, hitting third place in Oricon’s daily digital single charts on its first day.
As for this week’s second episode, you can see the creditless version of the ED, featuring ZUTOMAYO’s “Time Left,” below.
Crunchyroll streams the Chainsaw Man manga each week and VIZ Media publishes the manga, with all of Part 1 currently available digitally and in print and Part 2 running each week via the Shonen Jump app. Here’s how VIZ describes it:
Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita.
One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as “Chainsaw Man” — a man with a devil’s heart.
