Turns Out One-Punch Man Artist’s Son Is a Major Bodybuilder

Maybe manga artist Yusuke Murata takes inspiration from his son, Keisuke, when drawing One-Punch Man. Keisuke may only be in high school, but he already looks as if he could take someone out with one punch. That’s because the younger Murata just got second place in the Japanese High School Bodybuilding Championship.

The proud father shared the news on social media, writing “My eldest son was the runner-up. Nice fight!” He also linked to an article with more details.

Keisuke gave this own thoughts on social media, writing, “Now that things have settled down, I’d like to let you know! I came in second place in the high school bodybuilding competition! It’s disappointing, but I’ll keep working hard!!”

He also shared this video of himself posing to a clip of One-Punch Man’s opening song “The Hero!! ~Ikareru Ken ni Honō o Tsukero~”.
