Tokyo Pub Will Babysit Your Husband or Boyfriend So You Can Get Stuff Done

The NonDa90 pub in Tokyo offers something unusual at a pub: babysitting. But their sign doesn’t volunteer to take the kids off your hands while you get a drink: it offers to watch your husband or boyfriend.

The sign reads:

“We’ll take care of your husband or boyfriend who’s getting in the way of you enjoying shopping or relaxing in a cafe! Our experienced staff will take the responsibility of playing with him and keeping him entertained.”

It also lists prices for time periods, ranging from a short amount of time to three hours.

At the lower end, it has this: “‘Just watch him for 15 minutes!’ 500 yen [about $4.857] → First glass of heartland beer is half-price, 290 yen [about $2.65].”

At the limit, it has this: “‘I need a long time, three hours!’ 2,500 yen [about $22.84] → 150-minute all-you-can-drink plan, 2,300 yen [about $21.01].”

The sign also includes the image of a tall woman dragging her man there by the scruff of his neck.

While the babysitting service is done in a joking way, it could be seen as a non-guilt-inducing way to give the husband/boyfriend something fun to do while the women have girl time. But it won’t take him off your hands for more than three hours.
