The two-part live-action Tokyo Revengers sequel brings the first part of the Bloody Halloween arc to the big screen in Japan on April 21, with the second following on June 30. A new trailer has arrived in advance, this time depicting the Tokyo Manji Gang as they cruise on their bikes down the coastal road. There’s just one thing slowing them down…
We previously had the spotlight on the Mizo High group.
The first film is titled Tokyo Revengers: Chi no Halloween -Unmei- (Bloody Halloween -Fate-) and the second is Chi no Halloween -Kessen- (Bloody Halloween -Decisive Battle-).
The sequel will see the cast members—including Takumi Kitamura as Takemichi Hanagaki—returning along with director Tsutomu Hanabusa. When the first movie premiered in July 2021, it became the year’s #1 live-action film, and even managed to beat Black Widow in the Japanese box office.
Kodansha USA publishes the manga in English and describes it below:
Watching the news, Takemichi Hanagaki learns that his girlfriend from way back in middle school, Hinata Tachibana, has died. The only girlfriend he ever had was just killed by a villainous group known as the Tokyo Manji Gang. He lives in a crappy apartment with thin walls, and his six-years-younger boss treats him like an idiot. Plus, he’s a complete and total virgin … At the height of his rock-bottom life, he suddenly time-leaps twelve years back to his middle school days!! To save Hinata, and change the life he spent running away, hopeless part-timer Takemichi must aim for the top of Kanto’s most sinister delinquent gang!!
