As revealed in the June issue of Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine, Marimo Ragawa’s Those Snow White Notes manga is getting ready to end. According to the announcement, there are just three chapters left, so barring any breaks the manga is mostly likely to end this August in the pages of the magazine’s September issue.
Those Snow White Notes first kicked off in Monthly Shonen Magazine back in December 2009, and the series was nominated for the 23rd Annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2019. A TV anime adaptation ran for 12 episodes in April of 2021.
Crunchyroll streamed the anime adaptation as it aired, and the English version of the manga started coming out through Kodansha Comics last March. Here’s the official synopsis:
When Setsu’s grandfather died, so did Setsu’s “sound”—his unique creative spark. Grieving, he goes to Tokyo to find himself…but manages to become totally, literally lost on his first day. Only a chance meeting with Yuna—aka Yuka, the hostess—saves him from being robbed. At first glance their lives seem totally different, but they’re both striving for their dreams—hers, of being an actress, and his, of developing his talent with the shamisen—and it could just be that life in the raucous, unfeeling urban sprawl of Tokyo could just be what binds their fates together…
