This Monster Wants to Eat Me Trailer
Here is the visual.
If you’re going to LA’s Anime Expo, keep in mind that the anime is being featured at the Pony Canyon booth. Then, on July 5, Japan Expo Paris is offering a stage event for it.
Then a lot is going on at Washington, D.C.’s Otakon in August. On August 8, people lucky enough to be there can watch the first episode in its American premiere. On top of that, original mangaka Sai Naekawa, Naekawa’s editor Takumi Kamemaru, and anime producer Ena Hamabe are all guests who will give a talk about both the manga and its anime adaptation.
It was previously revealed that Reina Ueda plays Hinako Yaotose, Yui Ishikawa plays Shiori Oumi, and Fairouz Ai plays Miko Yashiro.
The show is being made at Studio Lings, with Yusuke Suzuki of Duel Masters Win and Duel Masters King Max helming the project as director. The person handling series scripts is Mitsutaka Hirota, known for working on Bibliophile Princess and Days With My Stepsister.
Yen Press is publishing the manga series, and gave this description for the plot:
This Monster Wants to Eat Me Plot
“I’ve come to eat you.” So softly utters the mermaid Shiori as she emerges from the sea and takes high school girl Hinako by the hand. Hinako lives alone in a town by the sea and possesses an unusually delicious body that is irresistible to nearby monsters. To ensure that she matures to the best condition, Shiori seeks to protect Hinako—all so that someday, she can devour every piece of her. What will become of Hinako’s feelings as this looming unjust death closes in on her…?
