Japan has a long history of using printed seals called hanko instead of signing names. While in this day and age they could become something of the past, hanko stores are still coming out with special designs to keep people interested. Pokémon hanko have been quite popular.
Three years ago hanko were made for the Pokémon of the Kanto region, and they’ve done so well that the practice has continued. The Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh regions all got their special Pokémon hanko. The Unova region has joined suit, releasing an impressive 156 Pokémon hanko designs!
If you add up all the Pokémon hanko from the different regions, there are 649 designs! If you were going to use a Pokémon hanko to sign your name, who would you choose?
