An anime adaptation of Satoshi Mizukami’s The Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer manga was first revealed back in January, and now we know who will be voicing the leads. The anime’s main cast members include:
- Junya Enoki (Yuji Itadori in JUJUTSU KAISEN) as Yuuhi Amamiya
- Naomi Ohzora (Uzaki in Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!) as Samidare Asahina
- Kenjiro Tsuda (Tatsu in The Way of the Househusband) as Noi Crezant
- Azusa Tadokoro (Moroha in Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon) as Hisame Asahina
A special rebroadcast of Planet With—which comes from the same creator as The Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer—is scheduled for April 16 in Japan, and it will bring additional info along with it, including a key visual, 27 more cast members and other details.
Satoshi Mizukami is handling the scripts for the series along with Yuichiro Momose (So I’m a Spider, So What?), while Nobuaki Nakanishi (Mangirl!) directs. The studio has yet to be confirmed, so stay tuned for more on that.
The original The Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer manga ran from 2005-2010. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the series in English and sums up the story below:
Asamiya Yuuhi was an ordinary college student… until the day a lizard showed up and asked him to help save the world. The next thing he knows, he’s been given a ring and special powers, plus an enemy stalking him. However, he’s saved in the nick of time by the girl next door, Samidare, who’s planning… WHAT kinds of things?! This is an unconventional story that mixes ordinary life with the bizarre and supernatural!
