Earlier this year we posted about the ending plans for Amahara and Coolkyoushinja’s The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace manga, and now that end is right around the corner. According to this year’s 12th issue of Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine, there are just two chapters left.
The ninth volume, which will be its last, is scheduled to hit shelves in Japan this fall or winter.
Serving as a remake of Amahara’s web manga, The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace first launched in Young Animal magazine in August 2018. It previously inspired a TV anime adaptation that aired in July 2021 and streamed on Crunchyroll.
Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the series in English and has released six volumes so far, with the latest having hit shelves on May 21, 2024.

It’s been eight hundred years since the powerful Idaten deities sealed away the demons who plagued humanity. To the foul-mouthed Hayato, a young deity, the story is mostly a myth. For this new generation of idle deities, there’s just not much to do as they watch over humans in peace.
