If you enjoyed the first season of the anime adaptation of The Duke of Death and His Maid, you were probably psyched to learn that a second is on the way. The followup was first announced back in September of last year, and now, with the launch of the final chapter of the manga, a release window has been announced for season 2.
It’s a pretty wide window, but look for The Duke of Death and His Maid season 2 to start airing in Japan in 2023.
The anime adapts the manga by Koharu Inoue, and the first season featured direction by Yoshinobu Yamakawa (Hi Score Girl) and animation production by J.C. Staff.
Crunchyroll currently streams the first season of The Duke of Death and His Maid and describes it thusly:
How can you fall in love when you can’t even hold hands? Due to a childhood curse, anything that the Duke touches will die—which makes his flirty maid’s behavior all the more shocking! Is there a way for the Duke and his companions to somehow break the curse, or is he doomed to a life where love is forever out of his reach?
