A new Tekken anime was announced for Netflix earlier this year, and now we have a date and the first full trailer. Tekken: Bloodline is due out on Netflix on August 18, and you can see how the fight is shaping up below.
While details have been scant on the cast and staff, director Yoshikazu Miyao (Magi: Adventure of Sinbad) has tweeted about working on the series along with his studio Barnstorm Design Labo. We’ll have to wait for further confirmation and announcements in the month leading up to the anime’s premiere.
For now, here’s how Netflix describes Tekken: Bloodline:
“Power is everything.” Jin Kazama learned the family self-defense arts, Kazama-Style Traditional Martial Arts, from his mother at an early age. Even so, he was powerless when a monstrous evil suddenly appeared, destroying everything dear to him, changing his life forever. Angry at himself for being unable to stop it, Jin vowed revenge and sought absolute power to exact it. His quest will lead to the ultimate battle on a global stage — The King of Iron Fist Tournament.
