We tackled Namco Bandai’s most recent entry in the Tales series (released in 2008 on Xbox 360) in the magazine not too long ago, and now the game will be getting the anime treatment, just like many of its predecessors did. The difference here is that Vesperia will be the first Tales anime to be released theatrically.

The film will be coming out of Kadokawa Pictures and helmed by first time director Kanta Kamei, who has key animation credits in such titles as Batman: Gotham Knight, Samurai Champloo, and Ergo Proxy. As always, we’ll continue to keep you posted as more information trickles out, and we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for a teaser and/or trailer sometime in the future.
