Back in April an anime adaptation was announced for Sawayoshi Azuma’s Oroka na Tenshi wa Akuma to Odoru manga, AKA Stupid Angel Dances with the Devil, and now we have more details. The series is set to premiere sometime in 2024, and Kadokawa’s new teaser trailer and visual revealed both that and the main cast and staff.
Yuma Uchida is in the lead as Masatora Akutsu alongside Ayane Sakura as Lily Amane. The anime is being written and directed by Itsuro Kawasaki (The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting), with Yuko Yahiro (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) handling character designs, Takuro Iga (Oshi no Ko) on music and ANLA on music production at Children’s Playground Entertainment.

The series follows Masatora Akutsu, who has ventured to the human world to search for an idol for demons. It’s there that he meets Lily Amane, but after inviting her to join him he soon learns her true identity as an angel, and now his aim is to make her fall from grace.
