We’ll never know exactly what Luffy’s Gum-Gum Fruit actually tasted like, but Japanese fans can at least pretend thanks to a new offering from Cakes.jp. While it may not give you stretching powers, the Gum-Gum Fruit design is definitely going to stretch some bellies while looking awfully stylish the whole time.
The design of the cake is based on the service’s popular Marugoto Melon Cake (whole melon cake), which is Cakes.jp’s best-selling delight. The sponge cake includes real strawberries, melon pulp and melon-flavored cream, and is made inside a hollowed-out melon covered in purple plastic chocolate. While that part can be eaten, they recommend against it, and you definitely wouldn’t want to eat the stem.
As you can see from the pictures below, it looks pretty perfect! Unfortunately, they’re only available to order within Japan and are priced at ¥13,000 (about US$100).
