Square Enix sells a lot of merchandise related to its popular video game series like Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts and Dragon Quest. Now the company is expanding into merchandise themed for your beloved pets. The items were created under the supervision of character designer Tetsuya Nomura.
The line is called SQEX Pets, and while it hasn’t revealed prices or an on-sale date (the site just teases “coming soon”), it has started to roll out images of the adorable pet goods. For example, Cloud’s Buster Sword from Final Fantasy VII is now — a dog’s chew toy! Paopu Fruit from Kingdom Hearts has also been transformed into rope toys.
If your dog needs a place to sleep, there’s now the option of this Slime house, referencing Dragon Quest.
If your dog is one of those patient ones who’s willing to wear clothing, there’s a Kingdom Hearts outfit. If your dog isn’t into wearing clothing, but you want some decoration, there are bandanas available that the dog might not mind, like a Slime bandana, or one with Kingdom Hearts symbolism.
You can see the lineup of cute merchandise on the official Japanese website here. Odds are people will be able to buy off this website once the merch officially launches.

Square Enix recently released Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, where you can see Cloud’s Buster Sword in action as a weapon, not a chew toy. PlayStation gave this description for the game:
