Tatsuya Endo’s SPY x FAMILY series has multiple shades to it, with deadly serious underpinnings intermingled with a solid comedic structure. Now both are on display in a pair of key visuals for the hotly anticipated second season, which premieres in Japan this October.
Character designer Kazuaki Shimada handled both visuals, which embody both the “cool” and “comical” sides of the SPY x FAMILY series. Check them out in that order below.

World peace is at stake and secret agent Twilight must undergo his most difficult mission yet—pretend to be a family man.
