We’re just a couple months away from the April 7 premiere of Sound! Euphonium season 3, and now we know who will perform the theme songs. This time around Kyoto Animation has once again enlisted TRUE and the Kitauji Quartet, respectively performing the third season’s opening and ending themes.
TRUE has performed every opening theme song for the series so far, and this time she will perform “ReCoda” as the OP theme. For the ending, voice acting unit Kitauji Quartet will sing “Onshoku no Kanata.”
Following Kumiko’s third year in high school, Sound! Euphonium season 3 will have Tatsuya Ishihara as director, with Jukki Hanada on series composition and Kazumi Ikeda and Shoko Ikeda handling character designs for the adaptation of Ayano Takeda’s novels.
Crunchyroll streams the first two seasons of the Sound! Euphonium anime and describes the story like so:
Spring in the first year of high school. Kumiko, a member of the brass band in junior high school, visits the high school brass band club with classmates Hazuki and Sapphire. There, she comes across Reina, her former classmate from junior high. Hazuki and Sapphire decide to join the club, but Kumiko can’t make up her mind. She recollects her experience with Reina at a competition in junior high school.
