A new manga is coming soon from Honda, the author behind series such as Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san. The creator’s next series is titled Utsubushi-sensei no Kakenai Seikatsu (Utsubushi’s Life with Writer’s Block), and according to the official website for Shinchosha’s Comic @Bunch Kai digital manga magazine it’s set to kick off this Friday.
Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san ran from August 2015 to March 2019. Honda followed that one up with Yameru Hoshi yori Ai o Komete (From Sick Planet With Love), which ran from January 2020 to January 6, 2025.
Yen Press publishes the Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san manga in English and Crunchyroll streams the 2018 anime adaptation, describing the story like so:
Honda-san is at war – with business, with out-of-print books, and with people who love manga! Who knew there were so many laughs to be found at the manga counter of a bookstore?! These are the day-to-day happenings that take place at a certain bookstore where the love of manga is abundant.
