A second season and an OVA are on the way for the SK8 the Infinity anime, and a release date has been revealed for the latter. A new commercial aired after a rebroadcast of the anime’s first two episodes in Japan, bringing with it news of the official title, the date and more on what to expect from it.
The new OVA is titled SK8 the Infinity EXTRA PART, and before it gets a physical release it’s set to debut in Japanese cinemas on January 24, 2025. The physical version will follow in Japan on March 19, 2025. Check out a the commercial in question, followed by more on the stories within the OVA and a brand new visual.

The stories and their central character focus include:
- “Ame to Neko Konbini Aisu Soda Aji” – Reki, Langa and Miya
- “Maji de Maji ni Nareru Koto” – Joe and Cherry
- “Morning Routine” – Adam and Tadashi
- “Ganbare, Hiromi-chan!” – Shadow
Hiroko Utsumi (BUCCHIGIRI?!) directs SK8 the Infinity, with Ichiro Okouchi on series composition and Michinori Chiba on character designs for the BONES production.
