Shonen Jump Alpha Goes Simultaneous in January

Viz Media originally made the announcement that the weekly digital Shonen Jump Alpha manga anthology would be going simultaneous with Japan back around New York Comic-Con. At the time, there wasn’t a start date provided for the exciting shift, but now it’s been narrowed down to January 21, 2013.

Once Alpha goes simultaneous, we’ll be able to get new manga chapters at the same time as they launch in Japan. According to the announcement on the official website, the anthology will also be adding new series to its lineup, but specific titles have yet to be detailed.

Since Takama-ga-hara unfortunately came to an early end, this week’s issue marks the debut of Naoshi Komi’s romantic comedy, Nisekoi: False Love. Anyone plan on signing up for Weekly Shonen Jump Alpha now that its simultaneous release date has been locked down?
