The second Demon Slayer stage play—Stage Play Kimetsu no Yaiba Part 2: Bond—was set to kick off its opening performance in Japan on August 7. Before that, Japanese media got an early peek at the show’s dress rehearsal performance, and now we can all see what it looks like in action.
While the first performances were planned for August 7-15, Tanjiro Kamado actor Ryota Kobayashi had leg pain during the second performance of opening day, forcing it to be canceled in the middle of the show. He was then diagnosed with dehydration, so the August 8 and 9 performances were also canceled. As Kobayashi’s condition improves, another announcement will be made soon about the performances scheduled after August 11.
As audience members wait to find out what the updated plans are, you can see coverage of the dress rehearsal from a number of Japanese outlets below, including 2.5 News, Oricon, and EnterStage.
