Those looking forward to the upcoming CG-animated Saint Seiya film can now get a better idea of how their favorite characters will sound. The official site unveiled the movie’s main voice cast, which changes up the key roles from previous series, including original Pegasus Seiya actor Toru Furuya.
Taking Furuya’s place in the role of Pegasus Seiya is 20-year-old voice actor Kaito Ishikawa, who was recently the voice of Ledo in Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet. Other cast members include Kenji Akabane (Meganebu!‘s Akira Souma) as Dragon Shinryu, Kensho Ono (Kuroko’s Basketball‘s Tetsuya Kuroko) as Cygnus Hyouga, Nobuhiko Okamoto (Blue Exorcist‘s Rin Okumura) as Andromeda Shun, and Kenji Nojima (Guyver‘s Sho Fukamachi) as Phoenix Ikki.
The Saint Seiya film—directed and written by Tiger & Bunny‘s Keiichi Sato and Tomohiro Suzuki, respectively—will cover the Sanctuary Arc of Masami Kurumada’s original manga, and is set to premiere in Japan on June 21.
