Originally released by Square back in 1998, SaGa Frontier isn’t quite as renowned as Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest (though it’s kind of a spinoff of the former). But it is known as a cult classic for its unique gameplay, graphics and music.
It’s technically the seventh game in the SaGa series, which began life with The Final Fantasy Legend on Game Boy in 1989. Players can choose from multiple protagonists, each with their own unique storyline. It’s also famous for feeling incomplete, so this remaster will hopefully finally give fans the full experience they’ve been waiting for.
The Remastered version will include a function to help speed up battles. Similar functions have been added to many remastered and rereleased versions of RPG classics.
Here’s looking forward to playing SaGa Frontier Remastered next year.
