PLAION PICTURES is PLAION Group’s German film publishing subsidiary, and it just officially acquired a substantial player in the anime industry. As confirmed in a press release, the company has acquired 100 percent of the shares of Anime Limited, a distribution company that first launched in 2012 with the combined efforts of Scotland Loves Anime and Kazé UK’s Andrew Partridge.
Based in Glasgow, Scotland, Anime Limited distributes in the UK and France and has offices in Paris and San Francisco According to the latest update straight from Anime Limited, the company plans to “operate as an independent company within PLAION PICTURES” and “the current management will continue to run the company.”
The blog post continues, adding that “The company will maintain its present release schedule currently, with even more to look forward to on the horizon. We’ll be sure to keep fans updated as more news is available too.”
