Pied Piper Licenses Skip Beat! Anime

Pied Piper, Inc. announced the acquisition of the Skip Beat! anime for DVD and Blu-ray release in North America earlier today. In addition to releasing the series itself, Pied Piper will be launching an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign to enhance the quality of the anime’s English dub.

Pied Piper’s Indiegogo campaign is scheduled to run from March 1 through March 31. The Skip Beat! dub plans include Mela Lee (Rin Tohsaka in Fate/stay night) as executive producer along with Christina Vee (Sailor Mars in Sailor Moon) and Jason Charles Miller (Avatar: The Last Airbender, Final Fantasy XIV). Stretch goals will be announced with additional features such as behind-the-scenes bonus videos and other surprises, and rewards will include exclusive merchandise and more.
