P.A. Works Reveals Alice in Wonderland Anime Film
Lewis Carroll’s classic children’s novel Alice in Wonderland is coming to anime in a new feature film production from anime studio P.A. Works. On August 29, theatergoers in Japan will get to see the debut of Fushigi no Kuni de Alice to -Dive in Wonderland-.
The story follows a modern-day girl named Rise who ends up in Wonderland, where she meets Alice. Nanoka Hara is in the lead as Rise alongside Maika Pugh as Alice.

Toshiya Shinohara (Black Butler) is directing, with Yuko Kakihara (Blue Box) on the script.
While this is the first anime film adaptation for Alice in Wonderland, the book previously inspired a TV anime adaptation from Nippon Animation and Apollo Film that aired from 1983-1984.
