One-Punch Man Season 3 Has J.C. Staff Back on Production, New Trailer Debuts

one-punch man season 3

It’s been a while since we got any updates on One-Punch Man season 3, but that just changed earlier today! The 30th volume of ONE and Yusuke Murata’s manga launches in Japan this week, and the series is celebrating 30 million copies printed physically, so why not keep that party going with a new trailer for season 3.

The trailer below reveals that anime production house J.C. Staff is returning from season 2, with new character designer Shinjiro Kuroda on those duties alongside returning designer Chikashi Kubota and former Kyoto Animation key animator Ryosuke Shirakawa (Violet Evergarden: The Movie, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid). Tomohiro Suzuki is back on series composition and Makoto Miyazaki of [K]NoW_NAME is on music.

We’ll have to wait for a date, but for now you can see the trailer and the first in a series of monthly visuals below.

After starting as a webcomic, creator ONE joined forces with artists Yusuke Murata to work on a new digital and print version of One-Punch Man. VIZ Media releases the manga in English and describes it below.

Saitama started out being a hero just for fun. After three years of “special” training, he became so powerful that he can defeat opponents with a single punch. Now, alongside Genos, his faithful cyborg disciple, Saitama is ready to begin his official duties as a professional hero working with the Hero Association.

However, the frequency of monster appearances is surging and it increasingly appears as if the Great Seer Madame Shibabawa’s prediction about the Earth’s doom is coming true. In the midst of this crisis, the “hero hunter” Garou makes his own appearance.
