The No Game, No Life light novel series previously inspired a TV anime, and it’s coming to theaters in Japan next in the form of the upcoming No Game, No Life Zero anime film. Atsuko Ishizuka returns to direct, with Jukki Hanada back on scripts and Satoshi Tasaki on character designs at anime studio Madhouse.
The feature is set to premiere on July 15, and the first promotional video made its official debut along with more details during this weekend’s AnimeJapan 2017 event. The movie tells the tale of a story taken from myths that were previously erased from people’s memories, and the main cast from the TV anime will be playing characters who existed millennia before those of the series.
