A release month is in place for the second That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime anime film! Soukai no Namida-hen (Tears of the Blue Sea Arc) is officially set to open in Japanese theaters in February 2026, so fans have a full year to anticipate the next big screen entry.
This is on top of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season 4. Both it and the new movie are in the works at anime production house eightbit. While we wait for more details on the staff behind the film, you can see a new teaser visual below.
The third season began on April 5, 2024. The series is streamed in America on Crunchyroll, where people can watch it dubbed or in the original Japanese with subtitles.
The first movie in the franchise, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond, came out in Japan in late 2022.
Atsushi Nakayama, who started out as an episode director and assistant director for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, eventually became the overall director for the anime. Toshizo Nemoto, who has also worked on That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Visions of Coleus, is set to handle series scripts for the fourth season.
Yen Press publishes the original light novels by Fuse and Mitz Vah and the manga adaptation by Taiki Kawakami. It gave this description for the first light novel of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime:
