Next Sakamoto Days Arc Shows Off Trailer, Visual, More Cast

Are you excited for the JCC Transfer Exams Arc in the anime adaptation of Sakamoto Days? A trailer, visual, and more information on the arc’s cast have all been released.

Here is the visual.

Here are the just revealed members of the Japanese cast:

  • Hisako Kanemoto (Hinano Kurahashi in Assassination Classroom) plays Nao Toramaru
  • Tomoaki Maeno (NaNaNa Najahkoop in Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War) plays Jōichiro Kaji
  • Tatsumaru Tachibana (Gregory Violet in Black Butler: Public School Arc) plays Shinaya

The new arc launches on August 18, and is available to stream on Netflix.

Sakamoto Days is being made at TMS Entertainment, with Masaki Watanabe of KADO – The Right Answer helming the project as director. The person handling series scripts is Taku Kishimoto, who is known for working on BLUE LOCK, Moriarty the Patriot, and Haikyu!! Credit for character design goes to Yō Moriyama, whose past credits include Lupin the IIIrd: Goemon’s Blood Spray, and Lupin the IIIrd: Jigen’s Gravestone.

The new opening theme song is titled “Method” and performed by Kroi, while the new ending theme song is called “Dandelion” and performed by go!go!vanillas.

The current season got its start on July 14. Sakamoto Days is a big title for Netflix, and one that the streaming service is pushing especially hard.

The original manga is available to Americans both through VIZ Media and MANGA Plus (the latter offering the title exclusively digitally). MANGA Plus gave this description for its story:
