New Sunao Katabuchi Film to Be Previewed at Kyoto Anime FairThose in Kyoto for the Manga Anime Fair (aka Kyo-Maf) September 16 will be able to get a look at the new film from Sunao Katabuchi.

The director, best known for In This Corner of the World, will be showing a pilot film of his new work, which is called The Mourning Children.

The film, which was announced earlier this year, takes place in Kyoto in the 10th century during the era in which the famous Pillow Book by Sei Shonagon was written.

Kyo-Maf will also feature a staff reveal and a talk event about the film, as well as some merch.
