New Etrian Odyssey Shows Off Anime Opening

New Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Maiden isn’t exactly a new entry in the dungeon-crawling RPG series. Rather, it serves as a reimagining of the first game, which was originally released on Nintendo DS in 2007. Millennium Maiden takes that foundation and enhances it on 3DS, adding a story mode with fixed characters and events, as well as a Classic Mode that mirrors the original more closely.

Atlus will be releasing the RPG in Japan on June 27, and the festivities kick off with a brand new anime opening from Madhouse, the folks behind the current Hunter x Hunter anime, Chihayafuru, and much more. Check it out below.
