If you thought the new Eminem track “Good Guy” sounded a bit, uh, ghoulish, now you know why.
It turns out that producer illaDaProducer, who worked on the track, worked in a sample from the song “Glassy Sky” from the Tokyo Ghoul √A soundtrack.
Initially there was a bit of confusion, as the producer mistakenly said “Good Guy” sampled the Kingdom Hearts song “Simple and Clean.”
He later clarified on Twitter, confirming “Good Guy” indeed contains a bit of ghoulishness.
“Good Guy” is featured on Eminem’s new album, Kamikaze, which was released August 31. “Glassy Sky” is performed by Yutaka Yamada.
It’s actually Glassy Sky from Tokyo Ghoul. I got it confused with another beat I did in which I used Kingdom Hearts theme. You guys got the exclusive hahaha
