Despite the fact that a “conclusion” special aired in Japan on December 28, there’s more anime on the way for Shuichi Aso’s The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. manga. As revealed at AnimeJapan 2019, a new series is being produced as a Netflix Original, with Hiroaki Sakurai back as director at EGG FIRM and J.C. Staff.
Aso’s manga launched in the pages of Shonen Jump back in 2012 and wrapped up in February of last year, followed by a four-panel sequel a month later. The series has already inspired two anime seasons, a live-action film, and a The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.: Bousou Bousou! Psychic Battle app.
