New Captain Tsubasa Anime Lines Up Opening Theme Artist

Yoichi Takahashi‘s classic soccer manga Captain Tsubasa is about to make a return to TV in a new anime adaptation. The sports action heads to TV Tokyo this April, and the latest update is here to reveal the opening theme artist.

That honor goes to Japanese boy band Johnny’s WEST, which will be kicking off each episode with the “Start Dash” theme song.

Viz Media licensed the new Captain Tsubasa anime for distribution throughout North America and Latin America, so look for it to kick its way outside of Japan sometime after its debut.
