New Black Butler Anime Film Coming in 2017
There’s more Black Butler anime on the way next year, with the announcement of a Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic anime film. The feature is set to premiere in Japan in 2017, and will adapt the Ship Voyage arc that took place in volumes 11-14 of the original manga by Yana Toboso.
Noriyuki Abe (Black Butler: Book of Circus, Heroic Legend of Arslan) is directing the film, with Hiroyuki Yoshino (Code Geass) handling the script and Minako Shiba handling character designs and chief animation direction for the A-1 Pictures (Sword Art Online) production. Chrono Trigger‘s Yasunori Mitsuda will provide the music.
