Naruto Shippuden Gets the Transformers Treatment

naruto transformers

The Naruto franchise has teamed up with The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Silverlake Ramen and CASETiFY, to name a few examples, and now it’s teaming up with the Transformers toy line from Hasbro. That’s right, two Naruto Shippuden characters are getting the Transformers treatment, but Naruto isn’t one of them. Instead, it’s all about Kurama and Gamakichi.

With 14 steps, you’re able to switch Kurama back and forth between being the nine-tailed fox and being a robot. Gamakichi is slightly quicker: 12 steps are all there are between him being a toad and being a robot.

The two Naruto Shippuden Transformers are being packaged together. In the package with them are Rasengan, Rasenshuriken, two kunai, and two chakra plates. On top of that, Kurama has two sets of hands you can use, and Gamakichi also has a summoning scroll and sword. While they won’t be on-sale until spring, they did become available for pre-order today. They can be bought at places like Hasbro Pulse and Amazon, as well as other retailers. The set is priced at $54.99.

VIZ Media gave this description for its first Naruto Shippuden anime set:

Naruto Shippuden Plot

Naruto returns to the Village Hidden in the Leaves a little bit older and a whole lot stronger! And just in the nick of time too, as the diabolical Akatsuki are on the move! Their first target is the now Kazekage of the Village Hidden in the Sand, the mighty Gaara. Then Granny Chiyo and Sakura fight for their lives in a desperate battle against a terrifying Akatsuki named Sasori! This master of puppets fights from afar with his macabre marionettes!

VIZ Media also publishes the Naruto manga and its various spinoffs. The Naruto and Naruto Shippuden anime series are both streaming on Crunchyroll.
