Mysterious Disappearances Anime Shares New Trailer, Visual and Cast Additions

More cast members are in on the Mysterious Disappearances anime, arriving alongside a brand new trailer and key visual. The latest additions include Rie Takahashi (Emilia in Re:ZERO) as Shizuku, Saya Aizawa (Norn Greyrat in Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation) as Nodoka Ametsuchi and Yuya Uchida (Charlotte in One Piece) as “John Doe.”

You can see all three in the trailer and visual, as well as a preview of Yuyu’s opening theme “Hazard Symbol” and Nonoka Oobuchi’s “Akaku Somete Shinzou” ending theme.

The Mysterious Disappearances anime is set to premiere on April 10.

Tomomi Mochizuki directs and handles series composition, with Takuya Tani on character designs, and Kayo Konishi and Yukio Kondo on music. ZERO-G is on animation production for the adaptation.

The Mysterious Disappearances manga, which launched in 2019, is about an aspiring writer, her bookstore coworker and the strange occurrences they encounter. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the manga in English and describes it like so:

Ogawa Sumireko is a busty bookstore clerk who wants to become a novelist after some writing success in her youth. When strange occurrences start cropping up around the city, she teams up with her flirtatious co-worker Adashino Ren to look into them. But Ren is hiding a secret of his own! With their combined skills of occult knowledge, what will they discover as they investigate?
