My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is All About Pro Heroes in New Visuals

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes may steer clear of the main story of Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia manga to tell one of its own, but it’s still firmly embedded in the wider world. As such, a new series of character visuals has arrived with a look at some of the Pro Heroes we know and love.

The visuals feature All Might, Eraser Head, Present Mic, Midnight and Ingenium, while also confirming that their respective voice actors will be back in the roles. That includes Kenta Miyake, Junichi Suwabe, Hiroyuki Yoshino, Akeno Watanabe and Masamichi Kitada.

As previously reported, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is set to kick off on April 7.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure chief director Kenichi Suzuki is directing the anime, with Yosuke Kuroda on series composition and Takahiko Yoshida handling character designs for the production, which has BONES continuing to produce alongside the main My Hero Academia anime as it enters its final season.

The main cast includes:

  • Shuichiro Umeda as Koichi Haimawairi / The Crawler
  • Ikumi Hasegawa as Kazuho Haneyama / Pop☆Step
  • Yasuhiro Mamiya as Oguro Iwao / Knuckleduster

The Vigilantes manga—written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Betten Court—launched in August 2016 and wrapped up in May 2022 to the tune of 15 total volumes.

VIZ Media publishes the manga in English and describes it:

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Plot

Koichi Haimawari couldn’t make the cut to become an official hero, so he uses his modest Quirk to do good deeds in his spare time. Then one day a fateful encounter with some local thugs leads him to team up with two other unlikely heroes. None of them really know what they’re doing, but they’ve got the courage—or foolishness—to try. But they soon discover fighting evil takes more than just being brave…
