My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Getting Simultaneous Release on Crunchyroll

Spinoff anime My Hero Academia: Vigilantes will be here April 7, and Crunchyroll has revealed that it will be offering a simultaneous release. The anime series, which is based off a manga by Hideyuki Furuhashi, Betten Court, and Kohei Horikoshi, occurs prior to the events in My Hero Academia.

Crunchyroll also dropped this trailer, which has subtitles if you turn on CC. From the trailer we learn that the opening theme song is titled “Kekka Orai” and is performed by Kocchi no Kento.

Kenichi Suzuki of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders and Cells at Work! is sitting in the director’s seat for this series. Yosuke Kuroda, already known for working on My Hero Academia, is taking care of series composition and scriptwriting.

As for other members of the crew, credit for character design goes to Takahiko Yoshida of Cells at Work!; sound direction is being handled by sound director Masafumi Mima of My Hero Academia and Attack on Titan, and music is being composed by Yuki Hayashi of My Hero Academia and Haikyu!!

We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with TOHO and bring this highly anticipated spinoff to audiences around the globe.”
