If you ever wanted to see My Hero Academia author Kohei Horikoshi take on Spider-Man, a new collaboration has you covered. The creator of the recently-concluded series teamed up with Marvel for an illustration exchange with artists Edgar Delgado and Humberto Ramos, with the latter providing their spin on some of Horikoshi’s characters.
First up, here’s Kohei Horikoshi’s illustration featuring Spider-Man, All Might and Deku:
Humberto Ramos illustrated and Edgar Delgado colored a picture of Black Cat swooping in for a steal while a bunch of My Hero Academia‘s finest attempt to put a stop to her.
As part of the collab, Marvel’s website has an interview with Horikoshi, who said the following in a hint about his next project:
I feel really lucky over the success of MHA, so I know there’s a lot of pressure around my next move. I’m planning to start a new manga as soon as I possibly can.
I was thinking to committing myself to simply drawing my next project, and letting someone else write the story, but my editor advised me ‘It will be better if you do it all yourself.’ With that in mind, I’ve slowly started writing and drawing the thumbnails my next manga. However, there are still several events left surrounding MHA, so for a while I’ll still be committed to supporting and promoting it.
The My Hero Academia manga is available from VIZ Media and the anime is streaming on Crunchyroll, which describes the series like so:
Izuku has dreamt of being a hero all his life—a lofty goal for anyone, but especially challenging for a kid with no superpowers. That’s right, in a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered “quirk,” Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that’s not enough to stop him from enrolling in one of the world’s most prestigious hero academies.
