The second season of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation (known as Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation II) concluded over the weekend, and with the last episode came the good news that Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation season 3 is going to happen!

While we know there will be a season three, there is not a lot of information about it, like when we might expect it to air.
The anime debuted in 2021 and it was originally streamed by Funimation. Season two began on July 2, 2023, almost exactly a year ago. It was cut up into cours, and the second cours started in April 2024 and just wrapped up.
The Mushoku Tensei – Jobless Reincarnation franchise started as a light novel series by Rifujin na Magonote. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes it in English and gave this description for its plot:
Kicked out by his family and wandering the streets, an unemployed 34-year-old shut-in thinks he’s hit rock-bottom—just as he’s hit and killed by a speeding truck! Awakening to find himself reborn as an infant in a world of swords and sorcery, but with the memories of his first life intact, Rudeus Greyrat is determined not to repeat his past mistakes. He’s going to make the most of this reincarnation as he sets off on the adventure of a second lifetime!
The light novels first began coming out in 2012 on the Japanese website Shōsetsuka ni Narō (translated as Let’s Become Novelists). Kadokawa picked up the series in 2014 to publish the books in physical form.
There is also a manga adaptation by Yuka Fujikawa, as well as the spinoff manga Mushoku Tensei: Roxy Gets Serious by Shoko Iwami. Seven Seas is likewise behind releasing both of these in America.
The anime is currently streaming on Crunchyroll and Hulu.
