November 8, 2010 I’m much more eager to post about this than the still-alive rumblings of Zac Effron being considered for the role of Kaneda. After all, is there anything that makes a movie’s existence more “real” than the inclusion of Morgan Freeman?
Apparently Freeman is circling the role of Colonel Shikishima, which is certainly… interesting casting. Hey, if that’s what it takes to get this flick out of rumor city and into reality where it can either be a disaster or, better yet, wow us unexpectedly, then so be it.
So, which sounds more likely to you? Zac Effron taking the lead in the adaptation of Katsuhiro Otomo’s legendary manga, or Morgan Freeman suiting up as the Colonel? Perhaps both light your fire; all we can do is wait and see how this thing comes together.
