Moe Girls Meet Powered Armor in Frame Arms Girl Trailer

If you’re into tropes like cute girls running to catch the bus with toast in their mouths but also Bubblegum Crisis-style powered suits, well, buddy, you are in luck.

It’s moe plus powered suits in Frame Arms Girl, a new anime premiering this April, and we’ve got the first trailer (plus cast and crew deets) right here.

Frame Arms Girl is based not on a manga or light novel, but a series of figurines of the same name by designer Kotobukiya which have sold over 500,000 units.

The series begins when a normal high school student named Ao receives a mysterious package which contains an autonomous robot. What she initially believes is a toy turns out to be a super-intelligent robot named Gourai equipped with a system called AS (artificial self), which is way better than boring old AI.

Frame Arms Girl is animated at ZEXCS and studio A-CAT and directed by Keiichiro Kawaguchi (Hayate the Combat Butler) with script supervision by Deko Akao (Noragami).

The series will star Yoko Hikasa as Ao with Narumi Kaho as her robot pal Gourai.
