Level-5’s latest cross-media project, Megaton Musashi, debuted its TV anime portion back in October and is still running strong. Now we have word via the official website that a second season is on the way, with plans for a Fall 2022 premiere.
Megaton Musashi credits Level-5 founder and president Akihiro Hino as chief director and original creator, as well as with writing and supervising scripts. Shigeharu Takahashi (Yo-kai Watch: The Movie) is directing, with Takuzo Nagano (Yo-kai Watch) providing original character designs that are adapted for the anime by Yuji Ikeda (Inazuma Eleven). OLM handles animation production for the ongoing series.
In addition to the TV anime, the Megaton Musashi project includes a game, a Shonen Jump collaboration, toys, and an “After School” web anime spinoff.
