Media Blasters had a new license to announce today with Ultimate Girls, which is set to be collected on DVD. There’s currently no information regarding the specifics, but be on the lookout for the full 12-episode series in the future.
Ultimate Girls kicks off with the untimely death of Silk Koharuno and her two friends, all of whom are crushed by the city’s protector, UFO-Man, while attempting to get a better view of a monster attack. Thankfully UFO-Man vows to bring them back to life, and the three become the city’s newest protectors.
The series—directed by Yuji Mutoh (Corrector Yui), with series composition by Satoru Nishizono (Digimon Adventure, Samurai Bride)—originally aired in Japan in 2005.
